The truss is of a welded “I” section girder in two halves which can be bolted together. The lower chord, the cross pieces for holding the truss down and the vertical thrust members are of box type construction. The anchorages consist of semi cylindrical pieces, each held down by 1 mtr.long steel spikes through holes drilled in the semi cylinder. The spikes are held to the ground at 60º to the horizontal, four from each side, spaced along the length of the anchorage. The cross-pieces are moored to the anchorages by channel straps and bolts. Guy wires with turn-buckles are supplied to hold the truss erect.

LOAD TRUSSES LOAD TRUSSES LM17313 : LOAD TRUSS - 200 KN
Categories Material Testing Instruments, Soil Testing Equipments
Description and About
The classification of soils for agricultural and horticultural purposes can be carried out using a pedological technique, which sub-divides soils into broadly defined groups. For the soil engineers however, the characteristics and particle size distribution play an extremely important part in classification for use, in relation to construction works. Various techniques are in vogue for determination of particle size distribution. However, the soil engineer continues to prefer quantities analysis for particles larger then 75 microns and sedimentation analysis for particles below 75 microns.
