“LYNX” Proving Rings are made of special alloy steel, carefully forged, to provide high and stable accuracy, dependability and repeatability.  They are machined for maximum fibre strength and plated for rust resistance. All Proving Rings have been designed with integral bosses to `void deflection errors caused by misalignment, dither if manufacture or in use. Bosses ff Proving Rings upto 100 kN are internally threaded, so that they can be mounted  on  to  `  loading  frame  easily.    Proving  Rings  are  a convenient deans of measuring applied loads. The indicator has a sensitivity  of  0.002  mm./div.  and  the  deflection  is   directly proportional to the applied load.  All Proving Rings are supplied in a  strong  wooden  carrying  case  with  work’s  calibration  chart. NPL / NCCBM calibration can also be arranged at an additional cost. Repeatability as stipulated in I S : 4169.
