Set up and Applications of the Jolting Apparatus

This apparatus is suitable for preparation of mortar prisms of 40 x 40 x 160 mm size. A rectangular table is connected to a spindle 800 mm away from its center. A cam connected through a gear box and motor provides a free rise and fall of 15 mm  at regular intervals at the rate of 60 strokes. The unit is supplied with a hopper for a 40 x 40 x 160 mm specimen.

The Jolting Apparatus is wired for 230 V 50 Hz.
