Cement Consistency and Setting Time Products

This is the recommended procedure in various standard specifications and has been designed to determine the quantity of water required to produce a cement paste of standard consistency.
After achieving the consistent condition, samples are prepared in the Vicat mould to estimate the initial and final setting times.
The results from these empirical tests are able to indicate the quality of cement.
